Runner
Danger constantly one step behind, ‘Runner’ follows a girl who has been doing just that all her life. Following in her mother’s footsteps, with her siblings on her shoulders, she is pushed to the limit and forced to confront the fear that has been chasing her family this whole time. Shri Gunasekara explores responsibility, adolescence and generational trauma in this 198-page semi-silent marathon of a graphic novel.
‘Runner’ is risograph printed in bright red and yellow, and handbound by Rhi and Archie at Inky Fruit Co.
Agnes
She disappears. Fuelled by magic and madness, Agnes attempts to create a new home, far from the one she knew.
Now in a new, mini second edition. A7 and risograph printed, and of course, still handmade.
The first edition was a screen-printed and hand-bound silent comic by Archie McKenzie. It's lovely, and limited to 50 copies.
Lola's Scrapbook
Bare
Where do the power lines go? A boy embarks on a quiet cross-country tightrope walk above cities, abandoned homes and empty hills.
Comfortingly quiet, with a sense of longing. Quinn creates a subtly haunting atmosphere and endless space in this 12-page comic. This dreamlike and whimsical comic is thoroughly worth a read.
