Another Chill session, come and bring your own project or make a new one, the zine is your oyster!

14th October
Making mini zines! Can be more guided for those new to mini zines, or if you already know pop by and make as many mini zines zines you want !

11th November
Making Folio zines! A more structured workshops on making bigger zines. If you already know how, no worries you can skip the learning and go straight to the making!

In The Loop is back! 🔁 ✏️

A relaxed animation night where we screen short looping animations made to a theme (TBA), short films, works-in-progress and any other little animated experiments you'd like to show...followed by a friendly Ask an Animator Q&A and lots of time to to hang out and chat.

Whether you’re a professional animator, a student or just love animation, everyone’s welcome!

We'll announce a theme for the loops 2 weeks before the event, but in the meantime you can submit your questions and any work you'd like to show over at cardiffquickdraw.com/intheloop

ArtHole Presents the Haus of wonk, a 3 day extravaganza of live music, drawing and the paroosing of fine hand made goods.

Thursday 24th September - Tickets start from £7. We kick off with a bang! The earwurms will be playing at the back of ArtHole ! supported by Oh peas and Clwb Enaid.

There will be cake, booze (non-alcoholic also), good vibes and music ! Starting out as a gig n draw then making way for the dance floor for the wurms!

Saturday 26th, Free Entry, will bring you Haus of Wonk Illustration Market, bringing you the finest and most VIP of goods in Cardiff.

You will find an array of prints, cards, apparel, ceramics and more!!

The only thing you need to bring is your phone; we use a free stop-motion app called Stop Motion Studio. I

They have hosted pop-up events and self-published zines since 2016, featuring over 275 animators and 400+ films. PICTURESKEW

Putting the "post-" in "folk punk", Pictureskew is what would have happened if Pigeon Pit went goth instead of country. Once described by a touring band as "like a lil political rally" – immediately before being mistaken for teenagers – they're back from an extended break with songs that are somehow even more direct and even more cryptic. Still challenging the legitimacy of the state monopoly on violins.

ELENA SIRETT(they/them):

Elena Sirett is a folk-punk musician from North London specialising in theatrically honest solo acoustic songs. Their work wittily expresses the extreme emotions they experience as someone with borderline personality disorder. Elena also produces events for their project Attention Seekers, where they platform mentally ill, neurodiverse and disabled creatives. On top of that, they are a stage manager and a part of the creative team for Creature immersive.

Following the open evening on the 17th JAN, this exhibition will be open, free to everyone, for a whole 3 bloody weeks!

This exhibition is a showcase of the all the work made through Hands and Minds workshops this past year, coinciding nicely with their 1 year anniversary!

Workshops will be running alongside the 3 week exhibition, so keep yours eyes peeled on this page and @ham.cardiff on instagram for links to upcoming dates on eventbrite.

Cardiff Council are using our space during repair week !

They will be sharing the space with our weekly community swap shop too!

So you can book into to their free fabric mending workshop and swap some old clothes for new afterwards!

Tickets are free but will need to booked to confirm your slot!
