Where it all began! Following a long, frustrating stint of applying to sell at markets and getting nowhere with it, we decided to put on our own! The inaugural ArtHole market was held at Kongs in Cardiff in July 2019, where we realised how much we enjoyed the sugary-sweet rush of providing silly little opportunities for Illustrators. We still try and put on a couple of markets every year, so check back here for updates if you fancy! X

Cardiff Zine Fest!

Our most recent event! A collaborative festival of self-publishing and print, organised with good pal Shelf Life Books and Zines, held at the legendary Chapter Arts Centre in November 2023.

Featuring a gnarly market of radical zine-makers, plus a bunch of introductory workshops and have-a-go activities, it was probably our biggest event to date! Highlights for us were the 'make your own worm on a stick' station at the entrance, working with volunteers for the first time (absolute legends), and the opportunity to work with creatives outside the usual illustration sphere!

The Return of ArtHole

In October 2022, following a wicked collaboration with Snap Shop and Chapter, we finally managed to throw the first ArtHole market since 2019! A joyous rebirth indeed. After dabbling with community tables at previous markets, this fair. marked the grand debut of the ArtHole Pop-Up Shop, which allows visitors to sell random bits of work over the course of the day. We always want to be able to allow as many people to get involved with our markets as possible.

Our first market after a long and miserable pandemic! This market was hosted by ourselves and Snap Shop Riso in June 2022, and also marked our first time working at Chapter Arts Centre!

Following such a long break, we were pretty terrified to be returning, and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate on an event for the first time- Thankfully it went well, and all our subsequent markets have since been held at Chapter!

The Revenge of ArtHole

Our second ever event, and our last one at Kongs before a certain pandemic put a big halt to things for a while. That's okay, we got to make magazines for a while instead! We've all come a long way since October 2019, haven't we? Despite the lack of phone service, we miss the integrated seating and the beer x
